My name is Chas Bruns, and I travel the world looking for the cheapest food hostels, transportation, and tours so you don't have to. That means you can find some of the best places in the world to meet some of the best people in the world to eat and where to go to have a damn good time and best of all, I'll show you how to Everything makesDirt CheapWe fly from Berlin to Athens, GreeceAnd I'm psychedAthen has been on my bucket list for some timeThe population in the city is 665,000 peopleAthens is considered the home of the first known democracyAnd as the birthplace of modern theater, there are over 148 stages in the All over town You will want to take the train from the airport to Old Town We paid $ 22 to get a 3 day pass, but you might want to pay as you go because we found we didn't actually use the train after we got in Come to the old town roomI am really enjoying the new residence and decided to have a nice glass of cold beer in the Kings ChairBecause why not? We got there quite late, but luckily for us there was another Thai restaurant a few blocks from our Airbnb $ 2 beer. I got the Pad see ew for $ 8.29.

So guess what's one block from our Airbnb? The AcropolisIt's not open at night but it's free to walk around the perimeterThe hill next to it has some great viewsThis is the night view of the AcropolisIt's a block from our AirbnbIt doesn't go much better than that.Found an old tomb that just chills on the hillsideNot a big dealAthens is full of stuff like thatMuch ancient historyWe thought we might sneak into the Acropolis but it's against the law to go in at night and it's armed guards watchdog, I guess They didn't lie about the watchdogs We were lucky enough to get this far A security guard let us slip under a rope But we have to go in five minutes and we can't go through the gates It's still pretty awesome If I didn't have to Spending night in a Greek prison, I would probably do, have to abide by the rules Kinder Nebe There's a grocery store on our Airbnb I have fruit and Greek yogurt because I'm in Greece It costs $ 2.50 Good morning Ate it from my balcony Life is good Today we're on our way to explore the Acropolis It still looks pretty much the same as it did here before few thousand years ago there are still local vendors, cobblestone streets and street performers i felt like i was in ancient greece we got the multi-site entry pass for $ 32.81 the monuments on the acropolis have survived for thousands of years.

From small fights and quarrels with local leaders to massive wars with huge explosions and bombings, you are still standing. Wind, rain and sun don't help either But the local government is doing its best to preserve it So hopefully it will be here for a few thousand yearsThe Greeks built the Parthenon in honor of their goddess AthenaAthena was worshiped as the city's goddess, the goddess of war, the goddess of victory and the goddess of crafts as far as the ancient citizens were concernedAthena ran this city, and since only a third of the population could read the ancient texts, there really was no way for the peasants and the common people to refute the claims more or less, Athena was real and man Better worships the other others Something similar to modern religions For lunch we wanted some authentic Greek food with a view of the Acropolis So we did just that The waitress suggested we get me this traditional kabobDelishHungry Birdie So we totally forgot about the back of the Acropolis But luckily for felt the staff to us nice that day and let us re-enter But be forewarned, your ticket is only good once, when you go? an exhibition, they won't let you in again, and there's a lot to see, so take your timeThe Theater of Dionysus is considered by most to be the first theater in the world, and is the birthplace of Greek drama, I felt incredibly honored to even enter the next Exhibit on our list was the Temple of Olympian Zeus One of the most massive temples ever built, I know it's all in my head, but I swear I could feel the presence of the ancient gods And even if they were really here, all of theirs What is rich is now only rubble and dust, because, as they say, nothing lasts forever the Temple of Olympian Zeus to the Plaka StairsIt's a wonderful walk through the National GardenIt's a bit touristy here, but that means it Have $ 10 plastic helmets, if that's what you're into, what's going on there? When we got to the famous Plaka neighborhood we went straight up Wanted the best view we could find $ 3 for an espresso Fredo and that view Now it was going to the Roman Agora Your multi-pass included The Roman Agora, also known as the Market of Caesar and AugustusLocated on the north side of the AcropolisAn inscription on the monumental gate of AthenaTell us that Julius Caesar and Augustus we were the ones who in the 1st of Winds, which was designed by an ancient astronomer to have an ornate water clock inside and outside to be a sundial and a weather vane. Hadrian's Library is also included in your Multi-PassIt is in ruinsThey have reconstructed some parts in their former gloryA bit nice to see what it once looked likeIt was built by Emperor Hadrian in 132 AD The library once contained ancient papyrus books Adjacent halls were used as reading rooms and the corners were used as lecture halls There was once a courtyard surrounded by pillars and a decorative elongated basin, but the basin has long since dried up ra was used as a commercial, assembly and residential areaIt is an olive tree Nowadays it looks like a beautiful public parkBut in its heyday it was a magnificent and beautiful open air marketIt also contains the Temple of Hephaestus, the patron god of metalworking, crafts and fireAnd me would say the craftsmanship in this paid off 80% of it s It's still in roughly the same condition as the day it was built Our last stop for that day was an old cemetery Also included in your multi-pass It was originally the city's pottery district, from which the English word pottery is derived, but eventually it became Known as a graveyard It's quite a nice place to go for a sunset stroll For dinner we went to Souvlaki Bar and I got a pork kabob for $ 1.75 Pretty much a Greek hot dog I agree So if you watch my show you know that I have to show off once in an episode.

Today we go to the islands with the Athens Day Cruise For $ 125 they will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to HydraPoros and Aegina You can sit inside but I personally think outside is the right way and it is a big boat, so you have plenty of space to walk around What a great way to see the Saronic Gulf I can almost imagine the ancient Greeks fishing wooden boats in their tiny fish, but I stay fine in the big metal boat And so we reached our first stop who have favourited Hydra IslandWhen you come to Athens you really need to see the islandsHydra is probably my personal favorite A tiny fishing village with hardly any machinesNo cars on this island. Just donkeysThey are world famous here for their almond sweets, we will find someWe heard there are free samples and hydras almondsThis is traditional Greek almond sweets and this is the oldest almond shop on the islandDelishThe almond sweets were delicious but it didn't taste my sweet toothSo it's good that our server Chris told us about the vanilla ice creamIf you visit Hydra, come visit us.Oh Jira wants it! Hahaha Please don't write that in the bloopers The new Emperor of Greece Just the name after He doesn't really have a lot of power, but

It's still a nice position to have (speak Russian) So go to A then! Say hello from Russia with love! Hahaha, that's good

Where can I ride my bike in Athens GA?

Athens is well-known as a cycling community, and one of the top spots for cycling in Athens is the Firefly Trail. The Firefly Trail opened at the end of 2017 and is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors by bike. It's a beautiful oasis conveniently nestled in the heart of Downtown Athens.26 февр. 2018 г.

'Are you all right, Kyle?' “Yeah.” “What's your number, mate?” “57.” “Are you going back out?” “Come back from Spartanburg around 2:00 AM about an hour and a half last night.

Stopped at McDonald's, waited in line for about 20 minutes to hit the street like a cheeseburger, McFlurry. I think we fell asleep until about 3:00 a.m.

I will probably drive over here in a few minutes and then chill for the rest of the day until we go racing. That was my dinner. Two skinny pops, a couple of beers, We had an afternoon snack at the Roadhouse so I ate the rest of the night.

And then I ended the night by killing the peanut butter jar. I wasted my peanut butter with a five millimeter wrench we didn't have spoons.

This is just as weirdly inconvenient as it is constantly where the trigger pointstuff is really bad. Right now we've been out for about five or six days and have never seen any laundry. Advantages of critical life, so

I just spoke to my trainer on the phone, we did a little debriefing about Wednesday's race and how it went for me. Just one of my first races on fast races with big boy gears. I'm on an 11 this year instead of a 14.

Just the plan tonight a bit for me and he asked me what some of my teammates thought about what we would do tonight and what we would try to get on and on and on so on. I mean, when the race is at 8:30 am, there isn't much left to do. I never take naps at home. 240 minutes, so we have about 20 minutes to eat, then we have three hours 40 minutes of digestion before the race.

But three hours before warming up. It's the perfect timing. About an hour before leaving, just put that clean skinsuit on, no laundry done yesterday, so I thought I'll put on something clean tonight.

I got up to get some snacks, go to the bathroom, that was it. Trying to figure out where the van parking provision is so we'll drop the van off before the course closes so we have a nice team area to hang out and relax in before race time. So I'm trying to find out, they sent us a screenshot of a google map instead of an actual map and I can't read the street names on it.

So try to decipher where that actually is. People think they could just dive in, bomb it and it doesn't relax the barriers stay outside and they knock themselves so just be mindful of the bit, like give yourself up if you get caught on your back to stay there relaxed and giving your self space to navigate with the situation, when it happens, don't be like, 'Oh, I'm going to fight for the 30th wheel' because it's going to be a crush some people are going to send he said it took me to the front of the bus and I came up behind you and said let's go, don't accelerate like 650 watts.

In the final we have to team up and we have to communicate. {music} I'm trying to be there for Dan as best I can, you know I got caught in a fall like the first lap and looked down and a bottle was missing. So I did the whole thing with a bottle, then got involved in a second crash, Uhhhhh, honestly, hard as... how heavy enough to the point where how not until Front time when I got to the front line it was too late to help Daniel, uh and after making that effort my hip started to cramp so this is a day this is a wrap Went to the paramedics, scrubbed the whole plaster off my leg and now I'm going to change and have a beer Athens is over, we missed the train, won the field sprint, so we don't keep the Speed Week overalls sure how much but the lead is leading, so it's pretty good and we also kept the lap leader's jersey

Yes, the day is over. We have about, I don't know, 45 minutes to grumble, complain, you know, cloudy whatever and then the night is over, we can't fix it so we pack our things up and think on tomorrow. Keeping the jersey is a big thing for the jumpsuit and maybe we'll be lucky to keep the lab jersey too

The original building burned down in 1892 and was replaced with the current structure. Whitehall Mills went bankrupt in 1929 and later became the Thomas textile company, a successful manufacturer of children's clothing. Sales began to decline in the mid-1980s and the factory closed in 1988.

The buildings were converted into lofts and condominiums in 1997. The mill complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It is a beautiful place by the river, where nature comes alive in the summer and produces beautiful flowers.

If you would like to learn more about the home values in the home white milk, please give me a call at 706-426-1082 so I can best help you! The community spirit resulted in a one-of-a-kind swimming facility that now features a paddling pool, two large pools, shuffleboard, and basketball courts. A security patrol, gardening club, community newspaper, and babysitting co-op are some of the ways people help create communities we are proud of and enjoy. Is long distance cycling bad for you?

Cycling is very low impact and one of the safest sports in that regard but there's still a slight risk of inducing hip or knee problems, especially if the bike fit is bad. If you are not used to riding a bike minor soreness and strains in the back/neck and glute area are not unlikely.

Many people. I'm sure I look at a bike saddle and think that not only must it be uncomfortable, but it's probably bad for you too. You know - causes damage, pain, numbness and, in men, maybe erectile dysfunction, maybe prostate cancer.

And yet many of us ride bikes and have no problems at all. Some cyclists, on the other hand, do. I did so so I can tell you that when something happens it is really worrying.

Look - this is my 'oh my god! My penis has gone completely numb! ' We'll come back to this as we explore the issues surrounding men's health and cycling. That is why we have partnered with one of the leading urologists here in the UK - a man named Anthony Koupparis - to provide solid and practical advice that all male cyclists should listen to and when you need a reason other than extensive clinical experience to believe what he says he's an iron man too and these guys spend a lot of time in the saddle. Before we start though, here's a quick anatomy lesson.

That's me the way I ride my bike. This is now a skeleton riding a bicycle and that done is a close-up of a penis.

Stop giggling in the back. It's neither good nor true to scale. Anyway, jokes aside, it's really important to understand our own anatomy.

You will know, I'm sure that when you ride your penis and testicles are usually well hidden. The area of soft tissue between your buttocks and your testicles is called your perineum, and when you are on a bike, this area is in contact with your saddle. Under the skin is your urethra, which is the tube that connects your bladder to the outside world via the penis.

The perineum is also home to the large blood vessels and your pudendal nerve, which gives the feeling of the area and therefore also helps with the erection. Above the perineum is your prostate, a gland that creates seminal fluid and that crosses the urethra. Given our anatomy and the shape of the saddle, it seems reasonable to make the connection between cycling and pain or numbness, erectile dysfunction and prostate problems, but let's take a closer look at it.

But no worry. It doesn't get any more vivid than what you've seen before, they suggested Anthony break this topic down. So we have numbness, erectile dysfunction and also prostate cancer, especially prostate cancer.

Let's start with deafness and first of all, can I tell? You my numb penis story? - That would be, yes

I feel like we know each other well enough to tell me about it. It was when I was in a wind tunnel in Indianapolis and we were doing a wind tunnel test, in which case you have to gently sit on a bike for 30 minutes while your bike makes a full sweep of the wind angles. What it means You have to be completely motionless in your upper body, because any kind of twitching will distort the result.

So it's a really artificial situation to ride a bike and after the 30 minutes I got off and I realized pretty quickly that I had absolutely no sensation in my penis, which is actually going on, because luckily you know that the sensation has returned. So in the end I think that nothing long-term happened, but what happens in the short term? Basically because of the pressure that you are putting directly on the perineum, you are pressing on the nerves and you are pressing on some of the blood vessels and that is what is causing the numbness. After a period of time sitting on a nerve it will take some very minor damage which is not long term damage, it basically leads to numbness in the area it takes care of, which is what happened to you.

So it's kind of the equivalent of falling asleep in a strange position and waking up with your arms completely dead and it's massively unsettling, but the feeling comes back pretty quickly and there is no long-term damage. Very similar to that just right. So what are we supposed to do then? If we suffer from deafness after riding a bike, what is the first port of call? If you find this to happen, get on the bike and it will be numb afterward.

I know more than I do, you get a proper bike fit and someone to look at your saddle and everything that goes with it. Now if you get on your bike for a long time and every time it is numb in that area and it stays numb and then you do the same thing over and over then you will inevitably cause long term damage but common sense takes over and once it does just get the right bike fit and saddle. A single period of numbness thereafter will not damage the sensation in this area or any erections and the like in the long term.

The next topic then would be erectile dysfunction and from what we've heard about numbness, is there a link then between cycling, repeated numbness that leads to erectile dysfunction? - the answer is no. More important is the importance of erectile dysfunction in the first place. The processes that lead to erection problems are exactly the same as the processes that lead to cardiovascular disease, which lead to a heart attack.

So if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or smoke, you likely have erectile dysfunction, but you are also likely to have heart disease. The fact is, most middle-aged people will start cycling. If you are now a cyclist and are of that certain age developing erectile dysfunction, your first thought shouldn't be, 'Oh, this is my saddle' just because of the cycling. 'It should be, I'm not going to get my head in the sand because of it stuck This could be an indication of something that wasn't diagnosed.

cycling jeans women

I need to have this checked out the type of damage to your pubic nerve that would then lead to erectile dysfunction. So is it actually quite difficult to do that? The strange numbness affecting your perineum will not give you erectile dysfunction. And in fact it will not give you erectile dysfunction.

Go and get it checked out. First, to have a proper MOT from the heart's point of view, then why not have an erectile dysfunction treatment? I mean, the circle has come full. It has gone from being a slightly chuckled thing to a real health problem that you can get sorted out.

And then you will find them. What about prostate-related problems and prostate cancer in particular. Fortunately, cycling has no effect on prostate cancer.

But it's not just how prostate cancer develops, it's also the question of whether you are being screened for prostate cancer incorrectly. One of the things we use to give an indication of prostate cancer risk is having a blood test and there is a thought that if you ride a bike a lot you could irritate your prostate and this could be your blood test which is used as PSA Artificially raise blood test A prostate-specific antigen Blood test that gets to the point You did this blood test It's artificially elevated and then you have a whole bunch of tests that you never needed because you were cycling and that's actually not true Not it - there's a chance it could be affected a bit, but if you look at the lab-based research on many, many molecular markers for prostate cancer, cycling and exercise make no difference to any of the indicators of prostate cancer, so cycling is Well, it makes you fitter, it improves your cardiovascular health all the things that reduce your risk of cancer and the like nd it does not affect inappropriate prostate cancer screening. And then it goes on.

Fortunately, there is no high risk of prostate cancer. What we should do as guys is think about it. So as we get older, the more likely we will get prostate cancer.

So the first is now to be aware of some of the symptoms, the things we look out for are things like water work symptoms, back pain, problems with bleeding in the water, such things reliving those things Then you should either go to a urologist or family doctor and have a reasonable conversation lead over the assessment. It doesn't automatically mean you will be screened for prostate cancer, but that particular doctor will walk you through the good things of a test and possibly the downsides of a test. Then the two of you can decide whether to go ahead or not.

I don't want guys to completely ignore it in the first place. And for the most part, we find these things much earlier these days and they can be completely sorted. What age are we talking about here? What age should you worry about? And I appreciate that there are likely tragic examples of early cases you know, but you are right.

So and with mine in my practice, I have a very distorted picture. So we have such a large practice that you will have patients in their 30s through 80s and 90s think about it, and if you have any worrying symptoms don't panic, don't bury your head in the sand and lead Have a reasonable discussion and assessment of what the problem is, if there are any red flags to act on and if you need them So there is no link between cycling and prostate cancer, but prostate cancer is a big problem for a large part of cyclists Just because they're men, they're middle-aged and therefore need to think about it Well, I don't know about you, but my biggest takeaway from this conversation with Anthony is that we probably shouldn't take our health for granted, we should face our own mortality and actually seek help when we need it because we don't get thin gs is true in fact, the biggest problem we will all face. Now I probably passed on a bit too much information when telling you about my numb penis in the wind tunnel but I think on that note maybe we should all try to have a conversation with maybe our friends at the club who are running it this weekend At least have a chat about this article I think that would be a positive place to start.

Now too, please make sure it gives me a big thumbs up to thank Anthony for his time and sharing his incredible experience with us, and if you'd like to see another article on the same topic. We just have one on this channel that will help you buy the right saddle for you to face the first problem of deafness head on.
